Considerations For Repairing Liquid Siding
Liquid siding is an anti-static material that is extremely resistant against chipping, fading, dust build-up, mildew and cracking. The high performance advantage may not be extended to the material that it is being used to cover and at times it is not so much the liquid siding that needs repair but the surface on which it is located.
If wood is being covered by this siding option then the only possible way of repairing liquid siding would be to remove the damaged wood that is either rotting, broken or with holes. Once this has been done then and a new panel has been put in place then the next step will be to use the same tone liquid siding to have a uniform look.
If it is being used to cover brinks, tiles and stones and these are chipped, broken or absorbing moisture from some area then it will be necessary to remove them by loosening up the mortar that is holding them in place. Once this is done then all that is necessary is a fresh application on the new brick, stone or tile. In the cases of moisture being absorbed, then it will b necessary to find the case before placing the new brick, block or tile in place.
Manufacturers will recommend the item solutions that can be used to remove the siding from a surface and prepare it again for new application.
